How to setup my Cerritos College loaner laptop with a LOCAL account

Below are the steps to set up your Library Loaner Laptop WITHOUT a Microsoft account:
Note: You will need an internet connection for this setup.
- Boot up your laptop. The initial page should be asking for what country you are in. You will choose UNITED STATES.
- Next it will ask for keyboard layout. You will chose US.
- Next it will ask to add a second keyboard layout. Click SKIP.
- You should now be at the wifi connect page. At the bottom, click on I DON'T HAVE INTERNET. You are going to connect to wifi later.
- If you do not see this button please come to the computer lab in the library for help.
- Next is a page that asks for a Microsoft Account. At the bottom left click on the button that says "Continue with limited setup".
- Press the "Accept" button that accepts the terms to Windows 10.
- Enter a USERNAME for this PC. This can be anything you want, but you must be able to remember it.
- We recommend you use the asset tag number as the name for the laptop. You can find this number on the sticker under your laptop.
- The next page will ask you to enter a PASSWORD. It is imperative you create a password that you can remember.
Note: Library staff DO NOT have access to reset your password.
- Next you will be asked to answer 3 Security questions. It is important that you are able to remember the answers to these questions.
Note: These security questions are the only way to reset the password to unlock the laptop. If you are unable to remember the password, the laptop will have to be wiped.

- Next you are presented a page where you are asked to choose privacy settings for this device.
- Read each of the settings items and say "yes" or "no" to them. Then click ACCEPT.
- Click NOT NOW for Cortana.
- Your computer will now go to a loading screen as it creates your local account.
- Once finished your computer should be at the desktop. You can now proceed to connect to a wifi connection.
Note: Library staff DO NOT have access to reset your password. If this information is forgotten and recovery is not an option, the only thing staff can do is try to wipe the device (you will lose all your data stored on the device) and start from scratch.
Connect to wifi:
- Click start menu
- type wifi and press enter
- navigate to "show available networks"
- Find the wifi network you wish to connect to and press connect
