Here are the steps you will need to take to use the scanner function at the copy machines:

*Scanning is free, but to activate the copy machine you will need a print card with a balance on it.

*You will need your own personal flash drive to be able to save your scan to.

Step 1:

In order to start the process you will need to insert a print card with a balance on it. The copy machine will have a window open that says insert card.

Step 2:

Once you have placed the card in the reader, the copy machine will then switch to this page. 

You will want to press the grey button with a home sign on it. To go to the home page.

Step 3:

Place your flash drive in the copy machine.

Step 4:

Choose Removable memory and a window will pop up that says "Removable Memory was recognized." Press Yes.

Step 5:

At the Removable Memory page, click on Store File.

Step 6:

The screen will then switch to a window that says Ready to store in box. From here you can place your media into the scanning section.

Step 7:

Press the big green button that says START above it.

Step 7A:

If you wish to scan all your documents to one file instead of several, press on the continuous scan button at the top right of the touchpanel. Once you have turned on this feature, you can keep scanning multiple documents in succession by pressing the big green button.

Step 8:

Once the scan has finished, it should be saved to your flash drive.

Step 9:

Once you are done scanning, press the Remove Memory button to eject your flash drive.

Step 10:

Don't forget to eject your print card and take it with you.

*If you need to check if the scan worked, you can go to the computer lab, login to a computer, and plug your flash drive in to the compute to check.
